Who is your all time favorite artist/band?
Impossible to narrow it down to just one! But, in my formative years I really liked Blondie, Cher, Madonna, Roxette, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen. More recently, I've added Patti Scialfa, Shawn Colvin, Joshua Kadison, Tuesdays, Del Amitri and Enya to my exclusive CD collection (in my car). Oh yea, I still like oldies like Christopher Cross, Simon & Garfunkel, the Monkees, etc... But if I was stranded on a desert island with a boombox and just one cd, what would it be??? BoDeans "Blend". A close second would be Air Supply's "The Christmas Album" !!!
What is your all time favorite song?
The song "Sonic Boom" from the Gear Daddies makes me long for summer vacation (however, unlike the character in the song, I'm never bored during summer vacation)!
Who has been the most influential artist/band that has helped define your musicianship?
Lorrie Line inspires me to play my piano as often as possible. But most inspirational to me has been Elliot Wold, Director of the UW River Falls Concert Choir and Alumni Choir. Performing worldwide with his choirs has helped me to recognize and emulate the spirit and enthusiasm that can be found in every song.
